Visited for a quick lunch. Ordered the Cuban sandwich, white rice with black beans. It was out quickly, hot, and ver flavorful. Would definitely recommend.
This is the best Latin food I have had around Atlanta. The ropa veija is spectacular as is the pernil. I was super pleased with the arepas as well. Beau was our server and couldn't have been nicer. I have 0 complaints. As far as the atmosphere is concerned, it's clean, friendly and comfortable. It reminds me of Miami when my wife and I go visit her family. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Do yourself a favor and get down on some mofongo and have a mule with it. Top marks!
The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly . The food was hot and fresh. The restaurant is very modern. They have live music on the weekends.
My daughter and I went today for the 1st time and the food is very good. This homemade brownie gave me life. Lol... Our server was Beau was super sweet and helped us decide what to order. We will definitely be back!!!! Oh and the decor is super cute!!!!
We have been here so many times — before and after the pandemic—- i always get the cubano bowl. I have tried a lot of their dishes but this is the best. Also, don’t forget to try the venezuelan spring rolls - Tequeños. My daughter and I are obsessed with it. Great staff and great service. Pls don’t close again✌️
I walked by going from my chiropractor to Walmart. The smells and the ambiance from the outside lured me in. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. I could not have enjoyed it any more. I was there the week of opening so if they keep up the great work this place will do great. It’s a Caribbean type menu with a emphasis on Latin origin dishes would be my laymen description.
Awesome place the decor is amazing and the food even better! The staff are super friendly and the place is well managed. we were there opening week and go back every week since. I highly recommend this place!
Food was good! Lomo Saltado wasn't the best ever, but better than many! Beau was our server and stayed on top of things without hovering. (Love that!) Bandeja Paisa was good, well presented, and plentiful. Only gripe with it is no salt or pepper on the table meant I was unable to to salt the avocado... Flan was GREAT! We will be coming back... not for dinner tonight, but likely a return visit in the next couple weeks!
TROPICANA is a LATIN FUSION RESTAURANT. This place has a great mixture of spices and Latin American cuisine. They have typical foods, beverage, & cooking styles from Colombia, Cuba, Dominican, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, & one dish originated from Peru called Lomo Saltado and more. I've enjoyed dinner and lunch with no complaints. Everything was full of flavor and delicious. They have a bar and desserts. They are open Monday through Sundat 11am till 9pm but stay open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. For those that like to enjoy some latin music and dancing I believe they have an event on the weekends. Don't know the full details, but I will be coming back to enjoy it all it has to offer. If you are looking for authentic, delicious, Dominican/Latin food you have to visit this place. You will not be disappointed. The portions are great, the food will not let you down, and the staff/service is amazing. They truly treat you like you are a friend to the family, if not family. Everytime we eat here we enjoy the visit. This visit we had rice balls, ropa veija empanadas, the Cubano bowl, and Lechon Asado. AMAZING! And if you are not hungry they have drinks or just stop in and say hi to Jorggie (I know I wreck the spelling of his name) but he was awesome from the time we walked in until the moment we left.
